KRN - TRENDS REPORT

DIRAR

...run this over the field and by some distance the best trends candidate is Dirar who has been in excellent form and was widely expected to go close in the Galway Hurdle (when 3rd). He will like the ground and was impressive at Ayr in a race that rated somewhat higher than the grade (raised a reasonable 6lbs). Jamie Spencer is booked for the hold up ride.

KRN - RACE ANALYSIS

DAMIKA

In the each way market one who fits the bill is Damika around 20/1, C&D winner in good form, excellent draw, will like the conditions and the yard are going very well. A touch high in the weights but useful claimer takes 3lbs off and certainly capable of making the frame with so much in his favour.

KRN - RACE ANALYSIS

He will love the conditions and distinct signs of revival at Newbury under Clive Cox. A Group 3 winner Sept '09 for Aiden O'Brien this is very much his time of year - we know he has the class and is around 3 times the price, Poet looks each way value and distinctly underrated.

POET

HUGH TAYLOR EYE-CATCHER

Ran much better than the bare form at Chepstow, when pulled wide and raced furthest away from the stands rail which has been heavily favoured in recent times. Now looks very well handicapped against old form.

PRICEWISE SELECTION

ST MORITZ

Staked at 8/1, returned at 4/1

The best trends match is St Moritz. Something blazing a trail down one of the flanks has often produced the winner and St Moritz looks well drawn and he holds an excellent chance. Frankie is a fine judge of pace and takes the ride.

PRICEWISE SELECTION

Music Show is the possible improver and a much better price. She has had no luck whatever since winning the Nell Gwyn - drawn the wrong side at both Newmarket and the Curragh, and again at Ascot where she ended up much too far back coming into the straight after racing 4 wide from a wide draw.

MUSIC SHOW

Staked at 10/1, paid 13/2
